With little over a fortnight to go until we go non-stop for 24 hours, it’s time for another update on how we are doing and what the plans are for this years event.
This weeks videos continue to highlight how the SpecialEffect team help people with varied abilities enjoy the games they love.
In this video we see how SpecialEffect have helped Charlotte get back into games after having the lower parts of all four limbs removed. This clip really does highlight how the team can enable anyone to enjoy gaming no matter the obstacle.
The next video shows how the team have helped Ellie with a lightweight version of a Wii controller so that she can play with her friends again.
Over these past few weeks we have shown you the work that this magnificent team do to help everyone have their chance at gaming.
They have continued to help through the current COVID-19 pandemic to ensure that no one is left out. They strive to find new ways to help those with differing abilities to game and they never stop developing new ideas.
Remember though this charity doesn’t charge for the controllers or setting up of the equipment!
I know I speak for all of us here at Team Hamster when I say we couldn’t be more inspired and proud to be supporting SpecialEffect this year. So if you haven’t already please head on over to their website and see how you can help by clicking here
Event Update 18/07/2020
JustGiving is now Live:
It took a wee bit of tweaking here and there but we can now confirm that our just giving page is live ready for the next 24 Hour gaming Marathon. This year there is a bit of a twist as all three of us have set a challenge to raise £175 each the question is who will get there first…
So for example if you want to donate to Adam or Gareth’s page you could as it is all linked back to our main Team page. So without further ado here are the links you will need for this years event.
NEWSFLASH: If you would also like to join the Team Hamster JustGiving Team for this years event you can also by clicking here and follow the instructions.
Sign-ups still open
Our sign up page to join Team Hamster during the 24 hours is still open so, if you can spare 30 mins, an hour or even the full 24 hours we’d love to have you along for the ride.
**The form is purely so we can send you our discord information (trying to minimise spambots and such).**
Our Twitch Channels are pretty much ready to go! So if you wish to start following us ready for the event you can do so by clicking the names below:
That’s a wrap:
Well that’s this weeks update all done and dusted, we are pretty stoked to say the least and I’m sure you will all agree this is for a great cause, so if you can on the day, before or after if you can offer any support nothing is too small or too big.
